How it works

You book a clinic, demo or lesson with a professional, and you pay that professional directly. Biljartprofs does not sit in between. Here is exactly what that means.

  1. 1

You pick a professional and a time

Every professional's page shows their calendar. What you see there is genuinely possible: the times are already filtered by their notice period, travel time, holidays and working area. You fill in your details, choose how you want to pay, and send the request. You pay nothing at that point.

  2. 2

The professional responds within 48 hours

They accept or decline. If they do not respond, the request expires automatically and you are notified; you are never left hanging on somebody who stays silent. While the request is open, the time slot is held for you.

  3. 3

The moment they accept, it is final

There is no payment step in between. You receive a confirmation with their contact details, a calendar invitation, payment instructions and the cancellation terms with the dates already filled in. From then on you have each other's details and can arrange everything directly.

  4. 4

    You pay the professional yourself

By bank transfer in advance, in cash afterwards, or a deposit up front with the rest in cash — which of those three is possible is up to the professional, per clinic, demo or lesson. If you pay in advance, they send you an invoice with their own IBAN. Your confirmation states the exact amount, including any travel costs.

  5. 5

Afterwards we ask you both how it went

You and the professional get the same question: did it go ahead? That is the only way for us to know whether we may invoice commission, because we do not see the payment. If nobody responds, we assume it went ahead.

Why we do not touch your money

Most booking platforms collect your payment, hold it, and pay the provider later. That is convenient for the platform and inconvenient for everybody who earns the money: the professional waits weeks for their own income, and there is a party in between adding nothing.

We do not do that. You pay the professional directly, into their own account or in cash into their hand. We do not process customer payments and never hold third-party money. That also means we cannot mediate if something goes wrong with the payment itself - you settle that with the professional.

We earn from a commission we invoice to the professional afterwards, collected by mandate. You pay nothing extra for it: the price you see on their page is the price you pay them.

If it does not go ahead after all

Every professional sets their own cancellation terms. Before you send the request, you see them as a table on screen, with real dates and real amounts - not as a link to the small print. You have to tick them to book, and what you tick is recorded with your booking. If the professional changes their policy afterwards, nothing about your agreement changes.

If the professional cancels, you pay nothing and get everything back. We immediately look for a replacement who is available at that same time. A professional who cancels too often disappears from the platform - that is the only way we can guard quality.
