1. Who we are and what we do
Biljartprofs is a platform that brings customers and self-employed billiards professionals together. We are not a party to the agreement between you and the professional. The professional delivers the clinic; we only provide the place where you find each other and record the arrangement.
2. We do not process payments
Payment for a clinic, demo or lesson goes directly from the customer to the professional, by bank transfer or in cash. Biljartprofs does not process customer payments, does not act as a payment service provider and never holds third-party money. We therefore cannot mediate in disputes about the payment itself.
3. How a booking comes about
A request is an offer from the customer. The agreement comes into being at the moment the professional accepts the request. If the professional does not respond within the stated period, the request lapses and no agreement comes into being. There is no payment step between acceptance and the booking becoming final.
4. Prices and travel costs
The professional sets their own prices. The amount shown when the request is sent, including any travel costs, is the amount that applies upon acceptance. A later price change by the professional does not affect a booking already accepted.
5. Cancellation
Cancellation terms are set by the professional and shown to the customer before the request is sent. The terms applying at that moment are recorded with the booking and continue to apply to it, even if the professional changes their terms afterwards. Any cancellation fee due is paid directly to the professional.
6. Cancellation by the professional
If the professional cancels, the customer owes nothing and any amount already paid is refunded in full by the professional. Biljartprofs will make an effort to suggest a replacement professional but does not guarantee one.
7. Commission and direct debit
The professional owes Biljartprofs a commission on the amount they actually receive: the price plus any travel costs. The commission is 10% and is set per booking by a sliding scale, counted over the twelve months before that booking: from the fifth booking in that period it is 8%. If the same customer books the same professional again, 8% applies where that is lower than the scale. A lower percentage does not apply retroactively to bookings already invoiced. Where a different percentage has been agreed with a professional in writing, that percentage applies to all of their bookings. Amounts exclude VAT. Commission is invoiced monthly in arrears on the first day of the month and collected fourteen days later by a continuous SEPA mandate issued by the professional; the invoice serves as pre-notification of that debit. No commission is due for a clinic that did not go ahead.
8. Liability
Biljartprofs is not liable for the performance or quality of a clinic, demo or lesson, nor for any damage arising from it. The professional is an independent business, responsible for their own services, insurance and obligations.
